About the department:

The department of EEE was established in the year 2004-2005, with an intense desire to serve the humanity, train the students to become competitive engineers and contribute for the nation development. It has recorded a tremendous growth in terms of faculty strength, facility in the laboratory and the department library. The department has highly qualified, dedicated faculty members.


To promote this programme as the most preferred one among the engineering aspirants.


M1: To inculcate the use of best possible practices in Teaching-learning process and encourage innovative and technology enhanced learning environments.

M2: To understand the needs of the students and respond efficiently and flexibly. To enhance the communication/soft skills and employability through career guidance classes

M3: To ensure continuous/lifelong learning, assessment and necessary mentoring services to enhance the success rate of students.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: To guide the students with a good educational foundation which will take them to highly responsible positions in their career.

PEO2: To develop the skills required to get them employed in industry, enrolled for higher studies in academic institutions and pursue research in electrical engineering discipline.

PEO3: To enable them to communicate their knowledge and ideas in an effective manner among the other members of engineering teams.

  1. Ability to apply the fundamental knowledge in real time problems and applications.
  2. Ability to apply mathematics, science and engineering skills and analyze to solve complex real time electrical engineering and related problems.
  3. Ability to apply the knowledge to design and develop electrical systems using modern and sophisticated engineering software and tools.
  4. Ability to design electrical systems by considering socioeconomic, environmental, sustainability, health and safety aspects.

The department of EEE has a well stocked library with the latest titles of technical books to help the faculty and the students. The total number of books in the department library is around 400.

Achievements of the departments:

Recently, Power system simulation lab has been modernized under AICTE’S MODROBS scheme with the funding of Rs.10 lakhs. MHRD & NMEICT sponsored Amirtha – Virtual lab has been started in our department for the benefit of students and faculty members. The following students got the IET awards:
