PSN College of Engineering and Technology (PSNCET), Tirunelveli, was established by the PSN Educational and Charitable Trust in the year 2001. Under the leadership of our illustrious Chairman Dr. P. Suyambu PhD, a multifarious personality and admirable academic brilliance.

They strive to achieve academic excellence by futuristic outlook in the field of education in a well-disciplined environment through commitment to continuous improvement in all areas, involvement of people at all levels and through up-gradation of infrastructure and human resources.The PSN group with a network of eight institutions has made tremendous strides in the field of education.

The college is located at Melathediyoor, 12 km away from Tirunelveli and 125 km from Trivandrum. Unfolding its grandeur over 250 acres of land, the college exhibits an attractive panorama conducive to education and research. Keeping a holistic approach to life and education, an ambient infrastructure is provided for the students. A natural sanctuary of birds, magnificent scenery of evergreen trees, amazing mountains and beautiful garden of multicolored flowers are sure to draw you into the campus.

This institution aims at educating and training its students to become not only competent professionals, but also excellent human beings to influence the quality of life of people around.

The college is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai, and is also approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and further accredited by NACC with ‘A’ Grade. The Institution is ISO 9001:2008 certified for its quality of education and, most of the courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

From the academic year 2012-2013, PSN College of Engineering and Technology has been conferred Autonomy status by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The autonomy status provides the college to fulfill the aspirations of the students in getting quality education and better placement. The main objectives of the college under autonomy status will be,

  1. To exercise the academic freedom in determining their own courses of study with the curriculum and syllabus prescribed by them with industry collaborations,
  2. To provide courses and parallel learning programmes for better professionalism,
  3. To evaluate and assess the performance of students through innovative examination process;
  4. To use modern tools of educational technology to achieve higher standards and greater creativity; and
  5. To promote healthy practices such as community service, extension activities, projects for the benefit of the society at large, neighborhood programmes, etc.
